About our Solar + Storage focus

Confidence in battery storage as a robust technology has been growing amongst project developers. In the US alone, the pipeline of co-located solar and storage stands at 8.9GW as of 2020. Quinbrook believes the combination of solar and storage will increasingly provide the most cost effective source of dispatchable, green energy.

Quinbrook has established Primergy as a new portfolio company exclusively dedicated to solar PV and battery storage hybrid project development and investment. Primergy has a >4 GW pipeline of projects located across the US which are planned for development and construction until the end of 2026.

Key Points

In 2020, Primergy completed the development and construction of a portfolio of 34 now-operating distributed solar projects for school districts and community educational facilities in Illinois.
Primergy is also in the pre-construction stages of the 690 MW solar PV plus 380 MW / 1400 MWh battery storage Project Gemini, the largest announced solar PV with battery storage project in US history as at May 2020.
